Assisted & Independent Living Exercise Programs

Welcome to Northaven’s Fitness Program, where the joy of movement and personalized fitness are at the heart of what we do. Our program is designed to help each individual discover what fitness means to them, focusing on what feels best and is most enjoyable for their body.

We offer a diverse range of classes to suit all preferences and abilities. Choose from Seated Yoga, Tai Chi, Weight Training, Aerobics, Walking Groups, Balance Classes, Personal Training, and Meditation. Our classes are designed to be both engaging and adaptable, ensuring that everyone can find their perfect fit.

For our Assisted Living residents, we provide dynamic exercises that are both enjoyable and accessible. Our offerings include instructor-led classes, interactive videos from Rhode Island University’s Em-star program, Balloon Badminton, Group Walks, and Resistance Band Training. These activities are tailored to support diverse fitness goals and abilities, empowering residents to stay active and have fun.

Additionally, Assisted Living residents have the opportunity to join classes at our Independent Living community and utilize our 24-hour fitness center, further enhancing their fitness experience.

We are committed to staying current with evolving fitness trends and research, collaborating with the University of Washington’s Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy schools. Through initiatives such as our annual Balance Workshop/Assessment and Book Club, we integrate the latest knowledge into our program.

Our goal is to offer a wide array of activities and educational opportunities that are free or low-cost, helping you to explore new interests, achieve your personal goals, and thrive in a supportive community of like-minded friends.
